Empowering Children and Families Through Active Play
UpLoft is a thoughtfully designed indoor movement and play space for children — and for those young at heart. Built around purposeful movement, creativity, and confidence, our environment encourages kids to climb, explore, and grow through challenge and play.
While children build strength and independence, parents can rest, work, connect, or take a class — all within the same welcoming ecosystem.
At UpLoft, we believe active play is foundational to lifelong wellness. Every detail is designed to inspire courage, resilience, and connection in an engaging, beautifully crafted space.
Our Mission

Our Vision for Children and Families
Our mission at UpLoft is to provide a dynamic space where children and families can engage in purposeful movement, creative expression, and confidence-building activities. We aim to create an environment that fosters holistic well-being and promotes a balanced and healthy lifestyle for every family. Join us in our journey to empower children and families through active play and creativity.
THE ORNE FAMILY
Together, Nicolle and Charlie designed UpLoft
as an intentional environment —
one where craftsmanship meets movement science, and where every detail supports connection, strength, and creative exploration for all generations.
Our Team
NICOLLE ORNE
Co-Founder | Movement Specialist | Creative Director
Nicolle is a movement educator, designer, and community builder with a deep belief that play is powerful — and that families thrive when movement is woven into everyday life.
With certifications in Pilates, Yoga, Functional Fitness, and restorative movement, Nicolle has spent years teaching everyone from toddlers to older adults. Her approach blends strength, mobility, creativity, and nervous system support — creating environments where people feel capable, connected, and inspired.
UpLoft is the physical expression of a lifelong passion for intentional design and meaningful movement. Every detail — from the flow of the room to the programming — is crafted with warmth, purpose, and inclusivity in mind.
She believes strong families build strong communities — and that when movement becomes joyful, it becomes sustainable. For Nicolle, UpLoft isn’t just a space to exercise. It’s a place where confidence is built, resilience is practiced, and connection is strengthened — sometimes while hanging from monkey bars.
CHARLIE ORNE
Co-Founder | Builder | Design & Engineering Lead
Charlie is the craftsman and visionary builder behind UpLoft’s physical environment. With a background in custom woodworking and functional design, he brings ideas to life — transforming raw materials into structures that invite exploration, strength, and imagination.
He specializes in creating modular, durable, beautifully crafted pieces that support real movement — from ninja-style obstacles to Swedish ladder systems and family-friendly training spaces.
Charlie believes environments shape behavior. That’s why every beam, bar, and attachment inside UpLoft is built not just for function — but for possibility. His goal is simple: create spaces that make people want to move.
Together, Nicolle and Charlie designed UpLoft as a family-first ecosystem — where kids build confidence, parents build strength, and everyone leaves feeling better than when they walked in.
